Anita spent eight years rebuilding the same operational layer at agencies and service businesses — handoffs that lost context, SOPs written once and trusted never, founders who had become their team's unofficial system. She co-founded Smooth Rise in Naples to give growing teams the operations intelligence layer they needed but could not build fast enough.

Frederick built workflow tooling and process automation at a B2B software company — and experienced the same operational breakdown from the engineering side. He co-founded Smooth Rise to build the intelligence layer connecting real workflows to structured, improvable operating systems.
